I’m working furiously on the rabbit hole that Wonderwerk Cave is rapidly showing itself to be. Last year, long-time worker at Wonderwerk publishes this:
…the cave was exploited for “agricultural fertilizer” between 1940 and 1944, when the cave interior was largely dug out to a depth of up to 2.5 m (Current Anthropology, 52, 585-595, 2011).
WTF? I can assure you its wasn’t owl poop they were mining. It was, yes, bat guano.
Oops! Almost forgot. This just in. Nature, yesterday, publishes an article titled Evolutionary anthropology: Homo ‘incendius’, by Bert Roberts and Michael Bird. Fire at 1 Ma is not just big news, it’s as big as it gets. And it’s all gonna fall.
Next up: Prometheus unfounded.
